Honr d Sr

The Inclosed to his Majty is a duplicate of one Long Time sent by ye
Governmt of New Plymouth, in Answer to a Comission Relateing to
some Lands sued for by Willm Harris, who sayled home on Christ
mas day, Instructed by Conecticot Collony to wait upon his Majty
and as Sollicitor in behalfe of the proprietr s of ye Narrogansett
Countrey to supplicate ye Confirmation of their right, But ye
Ship that Carryed him being supposed to be Lost, Obliges the
said proprietr s to a new address, which in regard they are inha
bitants of ye severall Collonyes, and ye Narrogansett Countrey
and cannot convene before this ships departure, they must
defer till ye next

Sr As I have lately been sensible of yor favour and Industrey
to promote ye affayrs of New Plymouth, soe Am I Incuraged
to hope that the same principles of Loyalty and justice will
pr vaile with yw to Consider and reprsent to his Majesty and
Councell the unhappy occasion that hath retarded his Matys subjects,
the proprietr s of ye Narrogansett Countrey from acknowledg
ing The Dutifull Sense and Satisfaction they have of the op
portunity his Maty soe gratiously gives them, to make out
their right, and xercise his Royall confirmation And To
Implore his Maty to Suspend any Donation; either of Land
or Disposall of Governmt , till they be inabled to send over new
Demonstrations of their right, and his Matys [illegible] Interest,
all which its hoped will by the next ship come effectually recom
ended to yor selfe, accompanyed with the proprietr s humble
request, that yw would be their advocate, and Retaine some
faithfull sollicitor to be yor Rememberancer and attend [to]
whose recompence shall be gratfully provided for, and
acknowlt made to yor selfe Answerable to the good Success and benefitt
yor Interest and Indeavours may Secure to ye proprietr s,
In whose behalfe I pr sume thus to make my selfe knowne
unto you, with great assurance That I am
